This large tourmaline quartz Feathered Shaman Skull is a substantial and powerful piece, hand-carved in Brazil by Walmere. It combines the strong visual energy of black tourmaline inclusions with the warm golden tones often associated with golden healer quartz, creating a skull that feels both protective and luminous.

The front of the skull has been polished into a strong shamanic face, with deep eye sockets, carved teeth, and a detailed feathered headdress flowing around the crown and sides. The feathers are carved with Walmere’s usual precision, but what makes this piece especially interesting is how he worked with the natural character of the stone instead of forcing it into a perfectly uniform shape.

The quartz itself has a beautiful mix of white, translucent, smoky-grey, golden, and black areas. Throughout the skull, you can see black tourmaline needles, sprays, and dense clusters suspended in the quartz. Some areas look almost stormy, with dark tourmaline bursting through the stone, while other sections are softer and lighter, with creamy quartz and golden healer tones adding warmth and balance.

One of the most special features is the back of the skull. Walmere left this part unpolished, preserving the rough natural surface of the quartz. This gives the piece a very grounded, earthy feeling. The back shows the original rock texture, full of sparkling black tourmaline inclusions, making it clear that this skull came from a very expressive and unusual piece of material. The contrast between the polished carving and the raw natural back gives the skull a strong collector appeal.
